With kids grown and weddings and other big family events on the horizon, this client needed their home to transition from a family hangout to a sophisticated entertaining spot. They wanted it to feel more modern, while at the same time not ignoring the more traditional elements of the home’s Tudor facade.
They desired a stunning first impression when you walked in the front door, which we achieved by hiring a local artist to custom paint the dining room walls, leaning into the moody space. The living room and kitchen were both given an updated, brighter look, and we opened up the kitchen to provide space for entertaining. An oasis in the primary suite was created with soft, relaxing, neutral tones and the addition of a large soaking tub in the bathroom. In updating their entire first floor, we were able to make this home work for this family as they transition into their next phase of life.
